Dr. Erin Harper is a school psychologist, associate professor of school psychology, and coordinator of the School Psychology program at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She has provided educational and psychological services in school and community settings for over 17 years. Erin’s research focuses on co-creating school-based and community-based systems of support with youth and families. Most of her research to date has focused on collaboratively creating youth development programs with Black adolescent girls and school-based prevention of commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC).

Erin is committed to a lifetime of service. She is a member of the FearLess Dallas Board of Directors and is the faculty advisor for the Texas A&M-Commerce Student Affiliates of School Psychology (SASP). Erin also serves as an associate editor of School Psychology International and is a member of the Journal of Educational and Psychological Consultation editorial board.

When she’s not in the classroom, conducting research, or engaged in service activities, you can catch Erin performing in comedy shows, storytelling showcases, or hosting events in Dallas and Atlanta. She is a member of the Dallas-based sketch comedy and improv group FCC Presents. Her first comedic illustrated book for parents (not children!), Dear Mom, You Don’t Get to Have Nice Things, is available for purchase wherever books are sold.
